Here's one of the first assessments of Murdoch's ownership of the WSJ. Kurtz thinks that politics is getting beefed up while the A-Heds are getting put to the back burner. All of this is true, but the Charlie Cook quote is great. Personally loved the A-Heds and sad to see them go. It was one of the things that makes the WSJ unique and worth reading. Murdoch might end up saving the newspaper business from itself. how weird is it to say that.
