Howard Kurtz - Howard Kurtz's Media Notes: The future of journalism - washingtonpost.com

This feeds into the way the press covered the news a hundred years ago, but instead of paper, the Web has taken over. I'm pretty sure that when cities had multiple papers, many of the papers didn't make money and were vanity projects. We'll see how long this Web start-up thing lasts and when they start consolidating. Maybe it's going to be the sites that aggregates that are successful. No reason that it can't be the Washingtonpost.com, but no reason it can't be Twit or Huffingtonpost either.
